体外研究:

Trolox (6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-Carboxylic Acid) is a vitamin E analog and a direct scavenger of peroxyl and alkoxyl radicals. Trolox impairs PT4 cell survival, has minor effects on ROS levels and causes wide deregulation of cell cycle genes. Trolox enhances As2O3-mediated apoptosis in APL, myeloma, and breast cancer cells. Trolox inhibits DNA damage formation induced by singlet oxygen in human lymphoblast WTK-1 cells and protects red blood cells during photodynamic treatment.

体内研究:After cerebral ischemia reperfusion, Trolox prescription increases anti-apoptotic proteins and decreased proapoptotic proteins thus protects neurons of the hippocampus and caused improvement of memory.
