Concanamycin B (CMB) is an antibiotic that specifically inhibits vacuolar type H⁺-ATPase (V-ATPase). CMB has been reported to cause destruction of cytotoxic granules and inhibit acidification of intracellular organelles in cytotoxic T cells. Experiments show that exposure of cells to CMB along with epidermal growth factor has the potential to induce apoptosis.
